My name is Steve and I have been caring for and nurturing tropical house plants for just over 15 years. My love for plants began as gifted plants from my Sister, at a time when I didn’t have a clue how to take care of them. My approach then was ‘trying not to kill them’, but with time, patience, extensive research and application, my approach now is about ‘helping plants to thrive and reach their full potential’. Throughout my plant journey, I have owned and cared for hundreds of plants, and as a result, I have felt the therapeutic pull of caring for something living, watching it root, grow, and thrive under attention. That experience changed how I saw my own space and myself, and it’s something I want to help others find too.
Needs and Nodes is a home-visit service for people who love their plants, but sometimes struggle to keep them thriving.
I come to you, assessing your space, your light, your humidity, and your plants’ specific needs, and take care of the hands-on work: watering, pruning, pest control, repotting, whatever they need to flourish. Whether you’re just starting your plant journey or have an established collection, I meet you where you are.
Beyond care, I offer guidance on placement and styling, helping your plants sit where they’ll thrive, while your home still feels like yours. Because a well-tended plant is part of the energy of a space, a small daily reminder of growth, presence, and care.
